Happy halfway to St. Patrick's Day day! The poster is here now for our St. Patrick's Day show in March 2013! Check it out! What do you think? You can get tickets to the show here: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/264559 1 Comment This year we got to spend our St. Patrick's day in the little town of Heppner, Oregon. We arrived a day early and also go to spend St. Patrick's day walking around the town, which is basically a huge Irish festival. There are shamrocks and Irish flags all over town, and everyone is dressed in green. Along the main street there is piped Irish music on every street corner, a parade, kids' races, a "welly toss" and lots of other fun activities. The whole town gets involved. We had a great time earlier on in the day (including a great breakfast from our hosts) and then a really fun evening concert for the community. It was a great way to spend St. Patrick's day - thanks to everyone who came, and for the town of Heppner for inviting us!! I finally finished the video looking back on all the fun times we had this year. Hope you enjoy! Happy St. Patrick's day, everyone! Today is the day to celebrate being Irish, and if you are not Irish, then you are honorary Irish TODAY! Here is a little gift from us to you: Hi there! I am really excited, because we have a new place to practice our shows! Right in our living room! We set up a bunch of the floorboards that my dad made, and rolled marley on top. My dad's going to find a nice mirror, so we can figure out choreography and stuff too! Now we can work on our shows while my mom is making dinner! ( She always had to wait until we were done when we practiced in the kitchen.) I am about to jump into doing schoolwork again; I only have a month before all the St. Patricks day shows, so I'm going to try and get a lot done. Today we are doing a show for a Chamber Music program that we are a part of! As well as doing a show, we are going to teach them a dance too! Greta gave me an assignment last night, I have two weeks to learn 5 diverse songs! She's tired of hearing me sing "The Climb" all the time, I really do sing it all the time!=) I sing it in the shower, in the car, getting myself a snack, etc. So she printed out the lyrics and put the songs on my i-pod so that I can learn them. Well...... see you all later! Solana Here are our memories of 2010 - all squeezed into one video! |
