The Gothard Sisters

We had a great time ringing in the new year in Eastern Washington last night with all you fine Tri-Cities folks.  Thanks for being with us for YEAR SIX at First Night Tri-Cities.

Now we go forth into a brand new year - fresh, with no mistakes in it.  Let's make the most of it!
Here's to a year full of new shows, new songs, new people and new experiences plus plenty and plenty of the old gold.  Thanks so much for your amazing support and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I finally finished the video looking back on all the fun times we had this year.  Hope you enjoy!

Happy new year!!  We celebrated the new year (2012!!  Woohoo!) with our traditional jaunt over the mountains to the Tri-Cities, where we did our fifth annual performance at the First Night celebration held at the campus of the Columbia Basin College.
We got to share the stage with several good friends of ours, Vocal Trash and Jerry Harris, as well as many other talented groups that come together to welcome the new year in a family-friendly environment.
A lot of people turned out and I think we had our best time yet at First Night!  It was lots of fun and we sure enjoyed every bit of it!  When it was time to drop the ball outside and start the fireworks, we were surprised and honored to get to lead the countdown outside before the firework show started.  What a great way to start the new year.  Now it is time to really think about resolutions - as soon as the entire house is cleaned and organized, of course.  For some reason we always get the cleaning bug at the beginning of January.
What's next for us?  We have a few months off, actually.  No shows are scheduled until February 24th - which will be a fun show at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park, WA.  We've done this show before and it's a great chance to do new songs and numbers because it's a wonderful intimate setting (at a book shop, yes!).

Best of wishes to you in the New Year, and we hope to stay in touch!  Although we're taking the next few months off, that doesn't mean that we won't be working.  We'll be hard at work actually, lining up a bunch of shows for the coming Summer and Fall so we will have a chance to perform for all of you again soon.  Please send any ideas our way if you have some, about festivals, fairs, concert series, theaters or schools that might be a good fit for us and our show.  You can email them to us at thegothardsisters@hotmail.com.  Thanks!

Happy New Year!
:-)

Here is a video of our little interview on Good Morning Northwest to promote our show at New Year's Tri-Cities this year.  It has some nice clips of fiddling and dancing, as well as some interviewing.  Check it out!

Here are our memories of 2010 - all squeezed into one video!

Today we performed as part of New Years Tri-Cities and got to open for the AMA award winning country band, Gloriana.  They are great performers and really nice people, too!  Here is a picture of us with them:

Today we drove to Pasco for our New Year's show and the amazing people that put on the event every year invited us to dinner with them.  At the end of the dinner they surprised us with three "Spirit Award" plaques out of appreciation for our third year performing at their show!  It was so nice, we were really touched.

Here is a picture of us with our awards and all the people in the New Year's Tri-Cities committee:
