Happy Thanksgiving!  We are so happy and pleased to announce that our new Christmas CD is here and ready for you to take home with you.

We got the CD yesterday from UPS, although everything has been slowed down because of a bit of a snowstorm in Seattle (except a snowstorm in Seattle is something like 2 inches and the whole city shuts down, which I know is pretty wimpy, unfortunately.)
The UPS guys thought it was pretty funny how excited we were (jumping up and down and giggling) when he brought all the boxes of CDs into the house, and we opened the box right away and gave away our first copy to him.  haha! 

Right away we set to work sending off CDs to all the wonderful people who pre-ordered the album, so they could have it as soon as possible.  

Then trudged to the post office to send them off.
Today the album is officially for sale, and we can't wait to hear what you think!  If you have some thoughts on the album (anything!) after you hear it, please send us an email about it at thegothardsisters@hotmail.com.  We'd love to see what you think of it.

Last weekend we took a little break from getting our CD done to go watch Solana perform at Benaroya hall with her Youth symphony.
They were doing a concert with some guest artists that some of you may have heard of, the Celtic Tenors.  The program was enjoyable and included lots of Irish favorites and of course "Caledonia," which is also one of my favorite pieces to play and perform.

For the past six weeks, we have been busy in the recording mode, putting together twelve new songs for our new CD, called "Christmas!"  Although it is always a lot of work to put together a new CD with several very long nights, it has been a LOT of fun and I really love this new recording. 

And here is a little video of Willow practicing a violin part for "Jolly Old St. Nicholas."
